Make the Haven your own!

Ok.. This is a compilation of the instructions on how to make your own themes... First is this: http://www.colorizeit.com/browse/28/phpbb-31-styles.html which is a link to a site that allows you to just take a basic theme and colorize it the way you want it. You can then send me the files either as an attachment in a PM here (yes, this version has file attach to private messages!) or you can email them to shrink908@gmail.com and I'll install them for you!

If you want to insert the rotating banners into your own theme then use open the spoiler just below that will show you instructions on how to do that:

Rotating Banner Code for new themes

In templates/overall_header.html you need to first search for:

Code: Select all

<head>


and underneath this line add:

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript" src="banners.js"></script>


Then search for:

Code: Select all

id="logo"


And replace the ENTIRE LINE with:

Code: Select all

This will enable the rotating banners in your new theme.


If you wish to use the images either as-is or as a basis for a new set of images you create you will find archives below that contain the images for both the dark and light themes.

Awesome! I'm putting it to test right now, and I'm liking it! I'll definitely will be making more of these, probably also a more customized version of this one, as soon as I get the chance!

OK, now that I better understand the compatibility issues as explained on the other/original thread, the only prefab style I can find close to the old one is this:

Thus proving that even in FFXII, there is no problem that cannot be solved
by throwing massive amounts of money at it.

That's a re-build of the subSilver 2, so yes it is similar... However.. The original schemes we had were "AcidTechDark" (the dark scheme) and "Avalon" (the light scheme)... The AcidTech did use the subSilver 2 as it's base... There is talk of that one being re-created for 3.1.x... So maybe we'll be able to get that one back eventually.

Yes.. This is phpBB 3.1.9 which means you can use any of the 3.1.x "styles" to start from, or the link to the colorize site, etc.. All you have to do is send me the style you create and we'll put it up.. Probably around Samhain we'll put a poll up to take a vote of which ones are y'all's favorites...

Ok, I'm having trouble being able to change the text colors and stuff. Will I have to go in and do this manually after I download the theme? :blink:
