Ok, question. With this feature active, Haru cant register for the boards. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me to tell him, other than to somehow convince his father to let him join a femmeslash board..which i highly doubt is plasuable. If nothing can be done, then he wont be able to post with us here anymore. Let me know. thanks all :D

not that I'm advocating fraud but...

Spoiler:
can always just supply a slightly exaggerated B-day to the system... I mean really, not like we are a bunch of pedobears or anything.

This was simply that I had not re-worded the agreement yet.. He can go on and activate his account as normal.. The new version just says that if you're under 18 you won't have access to the mature section. This is to legally protect the operators of the site >and< myself as owner of the server.

So you're saying that with the new software, we don't have to rely on the honor system anymore? Also, is it hidden from view for those who are under 18, or is there an error message saying they don't have access? Or am I totally misunderstanding you?

Hrm, maybe I'll go create a dummy account and claim that I'm under 18, just to see what happens.... See ya in a bit.

EDIT: Well, shit. I can't create a dummy account because my e-mail address is already being used for this one. Guess that's to prevent sock-puppeting. Not that I couldn't create another e-mail account and use that one, but.... *is lazy*

So I guess I'll have to wait for either Shrink or someone who's under 18 to answer my question then.

It's flat out hidden. They simply can't see it.

Ah, thank you. :) That's much better than the system we had going before.

*sigh* there's nothing stopping people from LYING on the application.... we just have to cover our asses and say people who aren't old enough can't access... so we can't get sued / shutdown

most people lie about their age, saying they're 18. As it is, her account is activated now. I am actually surprised that people don't lie about their age.
