Uploading an image

Basically, when I try I get the following:

"The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 6480 pixels wide and 480 pixels high. The submitted image is 1366 pixels wide and 768 pixels high."

Isn't... 480 pixels high as top way too LITTLE? Did anyone accidentally delete a 0 perhaps?

Nope, this was intentional to keep file sizes down. The only reason I allow the wide is because of banners. We had people uploading gigantic images that were taking up more than a whole page and bogging down connections so I limited it to keep people from abusing things.

Okay so I have barely been a member of this sight for a less then a year and I can not get any pictures and banners uploaded. I want to add some for my signature page and to the ‘caption this!’ part of the forum. How can I add anything to them?

use a service such as Imgur, Tinypic, Photobucket, etc, which is specifically designed for photo sharing and generates code for BBphp-based forums

Code: Select all

then put that code in your post or signature field.

Images in signatures it seems are futher limited to 200 by 500 pixels.. i think thats your problem since the link works fine when used in the main text like this:

that is far too big, the site limits what size images in signatures can be. usually it will prompt you that it is too large some way.

Just scale it down to 500 width, then it'll prolly fit. If you dont have a program for it i think the online pixlr can do the trick.
